We didn’t set out to start a software company.
We were just two guys — Rocco and Hamza — running a growing property and service business in LA (SalutLA). And like most small operators, we were juggling way too much with too little:
bad tools, scattered checklists, group chat chaos, late clock-ins, missing receipts — you name it.
We tried everything on the market. Nothing fit. The software out there was built for corporations with massive budgets and in-house IT teams. Not for people like us, who needed flexibility, simplicity, and results — today.
So, we built our own.
At first, it was just for us — to help our team do the basics better:
check in cars and record damages, document security patrols, log cleaning tasks, track who showed up and when, and finally get our petty cash under control.
The kind of stuff that falls through the cracks — but costs you money when it does.
And it worked.
But once we saw the difference it made — how much time, money, and stress it saved us — we realized we weren’t the only ones who needed this.
So we launched Salut Algorithms — to help other small, scrappy, service-driven businesses like ours get access to real systems that actually match how they operate.
No bloated tools. No corporate pricing.
